I have to admit that I got this needing something longer for my device being that everything that I plug in to is so far from my bed or chair during the times that I am not on my computer. Which is a good amount of the week. I want to stress that this is not just a normal charging cord. Yes by looking at it you may think that but it is not. The inside is wired differently as well as the shape of the input is more oval or rounded on the corners. It is a nice and strong cord being that it is covered in a braided thread and protected in most ways. That does not mean it cannot be damaged but it is able to protect itself more then your typical cord. I honestly wish that more cables came this length getting short cords with the device is just stupid in my thoughts since most are using them for a greater length they other devices.
