I am so total skeptic when it comes to lip products of any sort except for chap stick even then I only buy what I know will work for me. Before even trying the product I loved the shade that was given to me.Especially since it was mainly a nude if not closer to my lip color. Also the names of the shade are uber flirty and fun with different puns about New York one of the style capitols of the world.

When first applying the color I noticed the applicator was of the sponge variety. Now I have never had a problem with them before but this time it was a bit off and much more flimsy then one I would get in a different brands gloss. Though it would not stop me from using the product it is just something that I notice and just it had been different or better. Next, the scent of the lipshine was nothing chemical and actually smelled more like warm vanilla sugar.

After applying it feels creamy not sticky like honey or anything of the sort. However their is a trade off if your finger or hair touches the lipshine. After a little while you can tell that there is less on your lips without even drinking or eating anything. Especially if your lips are a bit dry and un-nourished your lips will soak up the good nutrients that are in the gloss though with that being said the shine or glossing effect is still there. If your looking at it to stay for hours it will not last. It is certainly a product that would have to be reapplied maybe every hour at the most. I will depend on what you are doing and the health of your lips.

With all that being said it is an amazing product for the price I believe. Certainly would like to try the other colors in the line. Hope you all would like to also.
