The first thing that really interested me the most in the book was the technology that thought of in this book. First, I thought it would shock me at how futuristic and different it would be from how people live now a days. But honestly how far are we from living this way. People express there every thought and feeling online every day. No, we cannot think of them and send a thought or you communicating with them but how far are we really from it. How about the changing environment in a room? People have been able to change this for a while with fans and plants also thermostats. So linking a certainly scene really should not be that much of a grasp.

I say all that because this book gets you thinking first. But you also get wrapped up in the main character. I enjoyed that he was not this turned off from the world person that I thought he was in the beginning. I liked being able to see some emotion that was not altered by tech, it was true even if it were shown because of his past. Which brung me hope for the rest of the story.

Having to admit the tech in the whole book had me most interested is only about 40 percent true. The interaction and relationships of the people and how they cope with different aspects of life and the tech that has become a major factor in there lives was the main reason I kept coming back to the story over and over again.

In the end I loved the book yes there were moments that I wished had picked up in the story and they ended up doing so but if you can get through those you are in for a great story. You have love and loss with dreams of the future and so much more. Written perfectly I could not see someone else writing this book.

I was given this book to read for free in exchange for my own personal thoughts and opinions.

Kindle Price: $0.99 with Prime
Length: 75 pages (estimated)
Series: Beach Read | Book 1

Waves of Love is about a 32 year old woman who seems to have it all in her life, She owns a book store and lives in the apartment above the book store. But the guy who walks in might make her think different. He is a surfer and writer his self trying to score some free pastries and coffee while asking about maybe having a book signing or two there at her bookstore. Soon the signing turns in to teach others in a writing seminar/workshop that he can be the star of. As a thank you he offers to teach her to surf.

Now I am not a romance novel person unless there is some type of paranormal apocalyptic aspect to it. So this was out of the comfort zone when it comes to books I read. I do however, feel this is a breathe of fresh air. Not only is it about older woman then most book I hear and read about all the time being read. But it is certainly an anticipation building story never full knowing how things are going to turn out.

I do have to mention that not everyone is going to love this book. There are some bad language. You may also not fully agree with the decisions or thought of the character but that is just it they are character, and I take it as they have the freedom to do what they want. I know there fiction but just as I am real I get my choices. So if those are the type of things that may make you mad or upset this is not the book for you. If you can get over all that you will enjoy this book.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Now when I first heard about this book I was thinking more of the typical blood and gore like in the movies. Boy! was I wrong this collection of stories from Rayne Hall are great with out all of that. While reading my heart would race and I could feel it throughout my body. I would get so wrapped in to the story nothing around me would matter much (reading at night with nothing on in the house could be both a good thing and a bad thing looking back on it).

Now I know your probably still wondering "How can this be horror stories with out the blood and gore??" and I have to say answer being scared or horrified does not take some of us to achieve through seeing blood or something murdered and a scene outrageous. But the unexpectedness of what you think to be red eyes in the distance to the clink of keys, or even just your own fear of unknown around the corner is what brings the HORROR to life in these stories.

I do have to say if your looking to get in depth and in love with a character like in a full story this is not a book like that. You may feel for a character or wish they things had happened different in one way or another but it is not going to be where you know a characters life story. You get just enough information that your not lost and then it is on to story telling.

I would certainly recommend this book or even just certain stories (depending on the people I know) to those looking for a good heart thumping book scary set of writings. Each story has something different to offer anyone who read for me it is going to be different then if I told a friend to read because we all have our own fears.
