The first thing that I loved about this brush was the weight and the feel of the brush in my hand. It is a wood handled brush which is smooth and sits nicely in my hand. I did find that with thicker hair like myself (wavy to curly) I had to break it down to parts or sections to get it all brushed and well groomed. If you have thinner and straight hair your may have to break it down less or even not at all with what I have seen with my nieces hair.

After brushing and using the brush I did see and feel mainly the softness and smoothness that was given to my hair. Yes, if you have naturally curly hair it is going to be a bit proof but it should be fine after your apply some hair serum or mousse. One of my favorite aspects from this brush is that it does not pull like plastic bristled brushes on snarls or knots in the hair. It kind of glides over them but catches enough to let you know there is one in that strand. It has become the main brush I use with my niece when I do her hair.

This brightly colored brush is small but packs a punch. No matter if my hair is wet or dry it seems to move through it effortlessly. Yes, there are a few snags here and there but nothing that stops me and makes me wanting to scream or say "ouch!". I also really enjoy that

on the back of the brush is a mirror so I can flip it over if I am in the car or somewhere with no mirror near by and see to make sure my hair is on point and looking amazing.

I however, do wish that it was the size of my paddle brush. So it could not only cover more area and hair but so that it was just a quicker brush through. Understanding that it then would not be so simple to carry with me everywhere. This is also the brush that all the females in the house want to use because of it working wonderful. So you never can have just one, at this price who could blame you for getting more then one.

Hair Symphony has two nice brushes here and they fit together in a travel cosmetic bag that still has enough space for other hair items like clips, bobbies, and ties. The paddle brush is designed for professional salon, it is made to use on either dry or wet hair without problems. Great feeling for the scalp with the help of the cushion that allows the nylon pins to glide through the natural flow of your hair.

The Scarlet Detangler is better used on average to thinner hairs or that of children. I have relatively thick and wavy hair and it could only go so deep. Ended up switching from one to another while trying to test them on myself. Safely removing knots or tangles with its flexible and carefully aligned pins that easily glide through the hair. Kids will love it as they will not have to bear the pains of a comb pulling on their hair and damaging it.

texture and coating that could fight off water and other water based products. As with the detangler it feels more like a plastic with flexible and what I would consider flimsy bristles against my hair. But works amazingly in my nieces hair that is dead straight and on the thinner side.
