*Water Based* The paints in this set are quite creamy and with a little (and I mean) bit of water or a dampen brush goes on the skin smoothly. However, the drier the skin the more the color will stick. So having a base or well moisturized skin as a base is wonderful. That way you are not going to work or anything the next day with a fainted print of a spider man mask or kitty face.

The colors are well pigmented. What they are trying to describe as a pink is a magenta and once on my skin was similar to the purple that was matched right up against the darker purple. This set even comes with a silver glitter that does stick as one point but does come off after much rubbing and washing.
