This paper pad does have a slicker almost glossy look to it for starters. So I want those reading to know that depending on what you use and how you use it this is so going to be different then many other tools used. As with permanent markers they seem to work well drying fast. Washable Crayola Markers were easy to apply to the paper but did not dry as fast as I would have liked. Which in the end caused some streaking and smearing as I dragged my fingers across.
BIC Ink Cristal went on beautifully and allowed for me to get more detailed and smaller in my work. However, It certainly smeared in areas, those areas being the ones that were a bit thicker decorated or heavier on the lines.
Crayola Crayons were the last were used as well to test leaving it a bit patchy and rough. Personally I do not like the outcome from these. I would much rather use the markers or pens on this paper.
I wish I would have had more to test with the paper. However, I used what I had on hand. Hopefully I get to test out a few more. But those that I did get to test did not bleed through or cause a weird look to the other side allowing me to use the other side of the paper if or when I would be needing it.
