Have a budding illustrator or sketcher in the family or many you are one yourself? This set is great set to get started with the many shades and varieties of pencils to use there is not much you will need.
Some come pre-sharpened while others are there for you to sharpen as needed. It does look as though you should be able to reuse the case they come in but mine came to me in rough shape not to mention I am more of a cloth case with zipper.
