I just so happen to love this lantern it is not only simple to put batteries in but is just the perfect size. It can easily be put just about everywhere seeing as there is also a built in hook on the bottom. I also like that is 3 different lighting modes so you can always have the perfect lighting for the size of the room or area as for with the right conditions.
The one thing that I did have problems with was taking the bottom off and on in order to get the battery door closed. There is just a certain way that it fits to in sure locking and the perfect closure to lock out water and bugs and anything else that could damage or cause harm.
