I really enjoyed this cook book. Not only is it simple to read and easy to understand. But it covers just about everything you would want from savory to sweet and everything in the middle. I do feel this is a great book for those who are just starting to live on their own. Also, if you get really cold weather. Because having something like pot roast cooking all day and the smells lingering in the house can be a temptation that sticks to your ribs.
I really like that when using a slow cooker it is almost in possible to really mess up the food. As long as you check in on it and keep it with in the right cooking time some foods can go from good to great. Yes, some can still over cook but basically it is fool proof. Not like grilling where you can go from perfect to over cooked in minutes of a flare up.
Really this book has you covered with many traditional and non-traditional recipes. Love those cinnamon sugar nuts that seem to be everywhere and now even in the mall but do not want to shell out the cash for a small bag. Make your own with this book, and here you can play with the taste and make it really your own with different nuts and more or less cinnamon and other flavors.
Like I said this is really worth the $3 dollars. Even if you make a few of these recipes and end up sharing the book with others you know. It is so just worth having even if you know it all sometimes it is just nice to try something different that you never know could make a bad day good and become your favorite.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
