I was super excited to test this product. Especially when it is cold like now in the winter I love having a hot breakfast, one of my go tos' are oatmeal. Now I am already a fan of the Quaker Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. So this "already had me at hello..."  so to speak.

So I woke up like I normally do and went to make my cup. Now the directions are simple and you can either just use hot/boiling water and let it stand to the desired time or you can use water and them pop it in the microwave for the time on the package.

First round I prefer mine cooked in the microwave so I chose those directions. Did everything as directed on the side and put it in for the low watts time (my microwave is truly old school prehistoric lol). Timer went off and I checked it seemed a bit watery for me (like I could still see liquid) so I placed it in the microwave again  for 20 seconds. Really did not anything so I ended up putting it back in and cooking it for the time I usually cook my oatmeal at and came out just the way I like it. Now just like I just stated I prefer it a certain way if you liked it another that is all you. So cooking varies and that is really the only problem I had with it.

Now tasting it was YUMMY! This had actual slices of apple in it that you could see was from an actual apple. It also has slices of cranberries mixed in, which I also LOVE! So you get this warm sticky oatmeal with sweet slices of apple and tart little hints of cranberry then all a sudden you get a CRUNCH!! of walnut and that traditional nutty walnut taste. It was just what I needed. It covers most the taste buds and gives you that stability of nutrients that is needed to start the day. Plus, its portable you can put the top back on it because there are vent holes and while it is cooling to can go to school, work, or where-ever you need to or even just stay home and do your own thing. I truly recommend this especially on cold mornings. I cannot wait to try the others.
